Ondulations en aluminium

The building has been designed by who is considered the best architect of Japan, Kengo Kuma. It is located in Shanghai’s city center.

It is mainly an office building with 32 floors and a total area of 95,000 m2.

In the aluminum plates façade, the waves of the folds simulate the soft dress of a beautiful lady.

Depending to the suns’s angle, force and tone the folds change their expressions gradually.

The public space of the building is like a creature’s skin, represented with stone and aluminum panels, which create a completely different atmosphere to the “hard” buildings.

Inside, you can find the Stones collection represented by the sofa, the armchair and the coffee table, all designed by Stefano Giovanonni for Vondom. Besides, the giant planters that complete the collection.

The façade and aluminum folds get into the interior and ceiling of the building with white, straight and organic forms that make you breathe fresh air and relax, in spite of the hundreds of people around you. That is why it is unique, singular and unmatched.
